We are an entirely Australian-designed and handmade hat studio. Every piece is carefully crafted here on the South Coast, created as a one-of-a-kind work of art and a true expression of who The Salty Crown is. We take pride in crafting custom designs and co-creating meaningful pieces that reflect the soul of the wearer.

Our hats are inspired by the ocean lover, the traveller, the adventurer—the ones who wander with open hearts and live with intention. Those who embrace nature, chase sunsets, and carry a deep desire to experience life wholeheartedly.

As someone who spends most of their time in nature and by the sea, I’ve always been guided by the belief: leave the Earth a little better than you found it.

Sustainability sits at the forefront of everything we do. Our focus has always been on quality over quantity—creating pieces that honour the environment rather than harm it. Each hat is handmade using the highest-quality materials, sourced locally whenever possible or gathered thoughtfully on our travels. We also incorporate vintage materials and deadstock fabrics destined for landfill, giving new life to what would otherwise be wasted. Our aim is to craft heirloom-quality pieces designed to be cherished and passed down through generations.
