We are a completely Australian designed and handmade hat business. Each hat is carefully handcrafted here in our studio on the South Coast. We design and craft each hat as an individual art piece, an expression of who The Salty Crown is. We love making custom hats and co-creating the most perfect design that is symbolic of the wearer.

Our pieces are hugely influenced and created for the ocean lover, the traveller, the adventure seeker, the wild heart, the free spirited lover of life. Inspired by those living authentically and in an unconventional way, but always leaving a positive footprint behind.

Being a lover of the ocean and someone who spends most of their time in nature, I’ve always been passionate about the saying ‘leave the earth a little better than you found it’.

Sustainability is at the forefront of what we do and we have always had a large focus on creating a product that doesn’t negatively impact the environment. We are completely hand made and pride our craft on quality-based rather than quantity-based. We source the highest quality products and try source mostly locally or on our overseas travels. We also source vintage materials and dead stock fabrics prior to going to landfill. We focus on producing a long lasting product that can be passed on to the next generation.

We are proudly Australian owned and Australian handmade, with the aspiration of touching souls worldwide.
